Blackcurrant Ojebyn (Ribes nigrum) is a deciduous shrub that flowers in Spring and Summer producing lots of edible currants. Long stems grow from the plant base, and the branches will require pruning after a few years. Blackcurrants are self-fertile, which means you do not need to grow more than one bush to order to get fruit to appear. Ojebyn will produce firm, round, glossy black edible fruit which will be ready to harvest by mid to late summer. Prefers full sun.
Plant will be supplied as bare root.
